anyway after approximately 372 failed experiments these are the only ones that kinda stuck without making me want to yeet myself off a treadmill.

Hack #1 – 30g+ protein breakfast or i become a gremlin

used to do coffee + vibes + maybe half a cliff bar at 11am if i remembered. now i choke down 30–40g protein in the first 90 minutes or my day is ruined.

current disgusting but effective combo (dont @ me): • 1 scoop vanilla whey (the cheap one) • like 200g greek yogurt 0% (the big tub) • half a sad frozen banana • spinach handful (you literally cant taste it stop being dramatic) • cinnamon + a baby spoon of peanut butter

Hack #2 – veggies before carbs (the “i cant possibly eat that much” trick)

this sounds boring af but changed my life more than any macro calculator.

two big handfuls of broccoli/zucchini/cauliflower/spinach/whatever before i touch rice or potatoes or naan.

volume + fiber = you physically cant smash 1800 calories of carbs afterward unless youre a competitive hot dog eater.

true story: used to demolish 2.5 chipotle bowls during my 2023 bulk-gone-wrong era. now i do the veggie preload and i’m stuffed after like 1 bowl + a little rice. mind blown.

Hack #3 – electrolytes or become a 4pm zombie

i thought i drank enough water. i was wrong. very wrong.

started throwing 1000–1400mg sodium + potassium + magnesium on lifting days (LMNT packets or my ghetto version with lite salt + no-salt + mio).

pumps got stupid good. no more 2am calf cramps that make you scream into pillow. energy actually lasted past lunch.

Hack #4 – carb cycling but for normal people not stage-ready freaks

used to do low carb everyday because “cutting”. ended up flat, cranky, zero sex drive, bench press going backwards.

now i do stupid simple version: • leg day + back day → 250–320g carbs (rice potatoes fruit whatever) • push/pull → 140–190g • rest/light walk → 80–120g

energy came back. recovery got better. still slowly leaning out. haven’t cried about food in 7 weeks. huge W.

so… did any of this actually work?

started being consistent-ish mid november 2025. today jan 10 2026: • down about 8.5–9 lbs (scale lies sometimes) • waist smaller by like 1.25–1.5 inches depending on bloat • deadlift up 20–25 lbs (form still questionable) • upper abs peeking again for first time since obama was president probably

still eat tacos every friday. still forget to prep meals like 60% of the time. still drink dangerous amounts of caffeine. still very much a mess of a human.

but these fitness nutrition hacks that improve fitness fast? they’re not sexy. they’re not viral. they’re just… annoyingly effective when you do them for longer than two weeks.
